Yellow Matter Studios features models of the Genelec 1032C, Kii Three, and Neumann KH120 speakers that professional mix engineers have been asking for.  The Kii Three has quickly earned the title of most technically advanced studio speaker in the industry. Its time alignment and cardioid bass response project an incredibly detailed audio range without a trace of muddiness. It has become the go-to monitoring solution for some of the biggest names in the industry. The Genelec 1032C are another classic fan-favorite mid/nearfield monitor offering a pristine, and accurate response that delivers mixes that translate everywhere. Finally, the smaller Neumann KH120 gives you a tight, natural frequency response that is the perfect companion to the larger speakers. A decade in the making, this private SoCal studio features over $50,000 worth of punchy speakers that are a dream to mix on. You'll notice this studio's incredible transient response and beautiful acoustics are unlike anything you've ever heard before. Zuma's midfields are a 1:1 recreation of the ADAM S3H with subwoofer that let you fix mix issues with clinical precision. Then open the throttle with Zuma's farfield modeled ATC SCM110ASL Pros which highlight problems from top to bottom so you can fix them effortlessly.

Zuma Studios

Archon is one of the most distinguished privately owned studios in the world. Owner/Producer Aris Archontis spared no expense to make this the perfect mix environment. You’ll notice it is drier and more immediate sounding than NRG’s mixing room. The Archon nearfield is a great sounding Amphion system with a subwoofer, which we modeled down to the slightest detail. The midfield is a reproduction of the ATC SCM150 and sounds insanely detailed and flat. Finally, the farfields model Pelonis dual concentric mains that are deep, punchy, and really fun to mix on.

Archon Studio

Smartphones have become an extremely popular playback device because there is no more convenient speaker than the one in your pocket. But for a mixer, this small speaker can prove to be extremely useful to see how your mix translates. The cellphone is great for checking if your bass is clear, and is very helpful for checking balances including vocal levels. If your mix doesn’t pass the cellphone test, it’s a good indication to go back to the studio speakers and make some changes.

First, a classic pair of emulated Yamaha NS10’s with a sub. This system will tell you very quickly if something is wrong in your mix. They are very balanced, extremely clear, and have the famous PMC ultra-detailed high end that will show you the most minute details of your mix.

Emulates Sennheiser HD 650s. This emulation is so precise, that now you can record and mix using open-back headphones without bleed ruining your recordings. Known for their relatively neutral response, they have a smooth top and midrange with a slightly subdued bottom end.
