We’ve Lost Control

Before digital workstations, audio pros used analog consoles as their main creative tool. The console let them go instantly from thought to action, using their fingers to change what they heard.

The creative process was unchained.

With the birth of DAWs, the entire production platform moved to a computer screen. Control became limited to mouse clicks, keyboards, and physical DAW controllers.

The Fatal Flaw

DAWs moved the entire production platform to a computer screen. Control became filtered through mouse clicks, keyboards, and physical DAW controllers that assigned multiple actions to their limited set of knobs, faders and buttons.

You have to constantly look back and forth between the screen and the controller to confirm your actions are making the changes you want.

The creative process is constantly interrupted.
